Watercolor on Paper

Watercolors, from 2010-2017, were inspired by two Washington peninsulas—Long Beach and the Olympic—and their many beaches and coves: Rialto, LaPush, Ruby, Kalaloch, Beards Hollow, Baker’s Bay, Cape Disappointment, and others, as well as Willapa Bay and the Columbia River. They are evocative memories of Pacific coves at the edge of the world framed by trees, sand patterns from receding tides, and swathes of sky and clouds. On Arches 300 and 400 lb. paper they vary in size, but are mostly 22” x 30”.
